At Carnegie Hall

World Circuit is proud to present the new album by the legendary Buena Vista Social Club, the recording of the group’s historic performance at New York’s famous Carnegie Hall, which became the centerpiece of the hugely successful film directed by Wim Wenders. Until now, apart from the moments seen in the film, the music from that magical, memorable night has only ever been heard by the lucky few who were there.
Though there were many artist albums in its wake, this is only the second album ever released by the original Buena Vista Social Club. Produced by Ry Cooder, the album features brilliant and unrepeatable performances by the original lineup of Cuban musical legends including Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo, Ruben González, Eliades Ochoa, Omara Portuondo, Cachaíto López and Guajiro Mirabal. This special deluxe double CD (at single CD price) comes in a lavish digipak package with a slipcase and 32 page booklet, including previously unpublished photographs and sleeve-notes by Ry Cooder and the members of the BVSC
